Back in 2021, I was struggling with the all the dread that was COVID. The boredom, the lack of socialization, the inability to work as a therapist the way I was used to, and the overall lack of zest in life. I was stressed about the push of working at home, staying indoors, worrying about the people around me that I was supposed to be looking out for; stretched too thin and was not enjoying the work I was made to do.
In the fall, I began exploring my creativity and wanted to make some Halloween décor. The first one was….not a masterpiece, but some grapevine base, some twinkle lights, a bulky battery pack, and some black roses, and an attempted hand-tied bow. It was… an adjustment for my perfectionism not to creep out and jump all over it with criticism. I continued with it and found enjoyment in strolling through the artificial floral and foliage aisles looking at all of the possibilities. I spent hours and hours getting lost in creation and material online, learning about designing, picking out materials. I was creating décor for others and decided to take a step in the business world.
Thank you for reading and being a part of my adventure. ❤️
